An AI box in your office
AI on your own documents, on a small computer in your office.
Three promises
Data stays in your office
Models, documents and the search index live on the box. Nothing is sent to a cloud AI.
You can unplug it
It's a physical box on your shelf. Pull the plug and it stops. The disk is encrypted.
Maintained through an outgoing-only connection
No port is open to the internet. The box opens the link itself; SDI's maintenance sessions come back through it, and you can cut it at any time.
How it fits together
What it is not
- Not a cloud model. Cloud models like ChatGPT and Claude can't run on it. It runs open-weight models: good for most document work, but not the frontier.
- Not as fast as the cloud. Answers take longer. It shines at background jobs: overnight summaries, sorting incoming documents, search.
- Not maintenance-free. It needs regular security updates; SDI takes care of them.
